Insignificance Bestowed

It's impossible to describe the immense size of Denali. It's taller then Mt. Everest from bottom to top and also one of the most massive mountains on Earth. The foothills you see here would be regular sized mountains in most places on the continent.

Matanuska Panorama

The upper reaches of the Matanuska River meets the Matanuska Glacier. They can be thought of as different forks that meet to create the main river. Very nice fall day and fantastic view. The lowland forests on the right are possibly growing on old abandoned parts of the glacier buried under soil and rock.
